Fiscal Sponsorship
with SpiritDAO
Build Now. Scale Faster. Stay Mission-Aligned.
SpiritDAO offers fiscal sponsorship to aligned projects, communities, and founders who are advancing human dignity within an evolving world.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organized in Delaware, SpiritDAO provides the legal, financial, and administrative infrastructure necessary for projects to receive tax-deductible donations while focusing on execution and impact.
We are not a passive sponsor. We are an active partner in mission integrity, operational clarity, and ethical alignment.
Four Reasons to Choose Us
Lower Administrative Fees
We typically retain 7.5% of gross donations as our administrative fee — significantly lower than many fiscal sponsors, which often range from 10–15%.
For projects operating within the SpiritDAO ecosystem or directly advancing the Eight Dignities, we may offer even more favorable terms.
Deep Mission Alignment
We sponsor projects that meaningfully advance the Eight Dignities:
If your work strengthens material dignity in tangible ways, we are built for you.
Infrastructure + Credibility
Under sponsorship, your project can:
Your project gains
- Receive tax-deductible donations
- Access compliant fund management
- GAAP-aligned financial reporting
- IRS-compliant 501(c)(3) oversight
- Intellectual property protections
We handle
- Donation intake
- Accounting oversight
- Disbursement review
- Compliance protections
You retain
- Creative control
- Project IP (unless otherwise agreed)
- Operational leadership
Built for Communities and Infrastructure Projects
Many traditional fiscal sponsors are optimized for arts grants or short-term initiatives. SpiritDAO is designed for:
- Networked communities
- Web3 or digital coordination infrastructure
- Education collectives
- Community-owned systems
- Experimental governance models
- Mission-aligned organizations seeking compliant pathways
If your project bridges spirituality, systems, and structure — we understand your terrain.
Our Evaluation Process
Approval is not automatic — but it is transparent, fair, and designed to help you succeed.
Initial Inquiry — Fit Screening
We review your project summary (1–3 pages), mission alignment with the Eight Dignities, intended funding model, and legal structure (if any).
Goal: Determine philosophical and structural fit.
Alignment Review
Qualified applicants are invited to a deeper review including:
- Budget outline and use-of-funds clarity
- Governance structure
- Risk assessment (regulatory, reputational, financial)
- Donor strategy
- Data collection and reporting capacity
We evaluate: Is the project compliant with 501(c)(3) limitations? Does it avoid prohibited activities? Does it create real dignity infrastructure? Can it responsibly steward donations?
Sponsorship Structure Proposal
If approved in principle, we provide a fee structure confirmation, reporting expectations, disbursement protocol, oversight scope, and term agreement.
We align expectations before signatures.
Formal Agreement & Onboarding
Upon execution of a fiscal sponsorship agreement:
- Donation pathways are activated
- Budget is approved
- Reporting cadence is set
- Compliance guardrails are documented
- Public sponsorship messaging is coordinated
What We Look For
We favor projects that are
- Structurally serious
- Ethically coherent
- Financially transparent
- System-oriented
- Building durable dignity infrastructure
- Open to oversight and accountability
We do not sponsor
- Political campaigns or lobbying
- Private inurement
- Activities that jeopardize tax-exempt status
Why SpiritDAO Instead of a Larger Sponsor?
Because we are more agile, more philosophically aligned, lower cost, deeply systems-aware, and comfortable with emerging models — including digital-native communities and Web3 infrastructure.
Large sponsors often process projects. We partner with them.
Ideal Use Cases
SpiritDAO fiscal sponsorship is particularly well suited for:
A Partnership, Not Just a Pass-Through
Fiscal sponsorship is not merely administrative outsourcing. It is shared risk. Shared responsibility. Shared credibility.
If your work advances dignity within time — and you are serious about building responsibly — we invite you to begin the conversation.
