The Eight Dignities
Our Vision
Our greatest struggle is not that we're here, but that we've lacked viable alternatives. SpiritDAO is such an alternative — fully self-sovereign communities, united towards a shared vision of the good, unbinding our rights from the state not through protest, but through building.
Our communities hold a wide range of focuses, but what unites them is a shared conviction: moral and material interests are inseparable. Participating communities are not required to advance the Eight Dignities through their direct work. Their participation in SpiritDAO's shared economy is itself the act of support.
We understand "Self" as the relationship between an individual and their circumstance within a given moment — which is why we prioritize both individual and systemic actualization. SpiritDAO works toward these dignities locally, and supports those doing the work elsewhere through the development of public goods.
The Eight Dignities represent individual sacred rights in alignment with individual and systemic actualization.
How Participation Advances the Dignities
Every contribution to the SpiritDAO ecosystem is automatically split to advance the shared mission. Members direct the majority of their contributions to the communities and initiatives they choose to support — while a portion sustains the network itself and the collective fund stewarded across all participating communities.
92% — Returned to the member as $SYSTEM tokens, distributed in-app to the pods, events, bounties, and artifacts they wish to support.
4% — Operations Pool: funds DAO operations, community outreach, and the expansion of services offered to participating communities.
4% — Community Fund: a collective pool stewarded by all participating DAO communities.
