The Eight Dignities

Our Vision

Our greatest struggle is not that we're here, but that we've lacked viable alternatives. SpiritDAO represents such an alternative — fully self-sovereign communities, united towards a shared purpose and vision of the good.

We want to empower genuine alternatives to the systems that be. The Eight Dignities represent a path to unbinding our rights from the state — not through protest, but through building. Transparent governance, community-owned capital, and mutual accountability: these are the foundations of a new commons.

We understand "Self" is most accurately defined as the relationship between an individual and their circumstance within a given moment. We therefore prioritize both Individual and Systemic Actualization in our practice.

SpiritDAO community members embrace the responsibility of collective elevation by working towards the realization of suites of public rights unbound to any state or nation.

SpiritDAO works towards realizing these dignities within our local community and by supporting those doing the work elsewhere in the world through the development of public goods.

The Eight Dignities represent individual sacred rights in alignment with individual and systemic actualization.

SpiritDAO advances these dignities through capital support, inter-community investment, product/service creation, and cross-pollinating membership with mission-aligned organizations.

Every donation funds efforts towards realizing the Eight Dignities.
