What is the Marketplace?

SpiritDAO's marketplace is a community store where members can buy and sell products:

  1. Go to Marketplace or Market page
  2. See all available products
  3. Connect wallet to view token-gated items
  4. Each product shows:
    • Product image
    • Title and description
    • Price in $SELF and $SYSTEM
    • Available sizes
    • Token requirements (if any)
    • Availability status

Understanding Token-Gated Products

What is Token Gating?

Some products require you to hold specific tokens or NFTs to purchase:

If Token-Gated:

  1. View product details
  2. See "Token Requirements" section
  3. Green checkmark = you qualify
  4. Red X = you don't meet requirements
  5. Lists which tokens you need

Checkout Process

Checkout happens entirely inside the cart. There is no separate checkout page: review, token choice and payment are one panel.

1. Review your items. Open the cart and check the items, sizes and quantities. The subtotal updates to match the token you pick.

2. Choose how to pay. At the bottom of the cart, pick the token:

transferred to the artifact's creator or to a pod treasury.

it and mints you a receipt. A confirmation step shows exactly what will be burned before anything happens.

The subtotal shows the price in whichever token is selected.

3. Purchase. The button reads Purchase, or Approve & Purchase when the token still needs approval; either way it is one signature and the gas is sponsored, so there is nothing to pay for the transaction itself.

4. Confirmation. On success the cart clears, an order record is created, and the fulfilment team is notified. If something goes wrong, the cart shows the reason in red rather than failing silently — the most common one is simply not holding enough of the chosen token.

Creating Products (For Sellers)

  2. Click "Add Product" button (only visible if you have permission)

This controls where the $SYSTEM portion of a sale goes. Any $SELF a buyer pays is always burned; it can't be routed anywhere.

Step 9: Create Product

  1. Review all information
  2. Click "Create Product"
  3. Sign transaction
  4. Wait for confirmation (30 seconds)
  5. Product appears in marketplace
  6. Available for purchase immediately

Managing Orders (For Administrators)

Required:

Access Order Management

  1. Go to Marketplace page
  2. Click "Manage Orders" button
  3. See all orders across marketplace

Mark as Preparing:

  1. Find pending order
  2. Click "Start Preparing"
  3. Status → Preparing
  4. Buyer receives notification

Mark as Shipped:

  1. Order must be "Preparing"
  2. Click "Mark as Shipped"
  3. Enter tracking number (optional)
  4. Add carrier info
  5. Status → Shipped
  6. Buyer receives notification with tracking

Mark as Delivered:

  1. After delivery confirmed
  2. Click "Mark as Delivered"
  3. Order complete
  4. Funds remain with destination

Cancel Order:

  1. Click "Cancel Order"
  2. Enter reason
  3. Process refund if needed
  4. Buyer receives notification
