The Problem

SpiritDAO is the first community to formally admit an AI agent into membership with its boundaries written into contract code — not model behavior. Our communities voted the constitution, the contracts enforce it, and we published the results as open research: Congregant, Not Citizen: Constitutional Design for AI Members of Human Communities.
